Antique Folding Biscuit Box or Biscuit Warmer

An antique folding biscuit box or biscuit warmer. The frame is realistically modelled as twigs. The body is crisply engraved with leaves on branches. This is of a handbag design. There are two wreath circles that pull open to reveal two pierced plates that raise and drop down. The inner bowls have been gilded. This has been resilvered. c.1880 British made.
