Antique Silver Plated Biscuit Box with a Finial of a Huntsman with his Dog
A handsome antique silver plated biscuit box. This stands on four bun feet with two bead mounted looped handles. It has four vertical rope twist columns with decorative ends. The silver plated lid is engraved with leaves and flowers with a finial of a huntsman holding a rifle with his dog. The original glass has a vertical diamond cut alternating with etching of leaves. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for William Briggs of Sheffield stamped to the side. This has been resilvered.
