Silver Plated Antique Folding Biscuit Box or Biscuit Warmer

This is an antique silver plated folding biscuit box or biscuit warmer. The stand has four curled feet and is decorated with tulips and roundels that support two large shell shaped dishes. There is a circular top handle that is bead mounted. These dishes drop down by pulling the round wreath handles to reveal two pierced grills that either lay flat or raise and drop down vertically. This has been resilvered and re gilded. c.1880 British made.
