Victorian Silver Plated Biscuit Box Decorated with Children Putti Faces and Flowers
An antique silver plated biscuit box from the Victorian period. Standing on four decorative triangular shaped feet that is bead mounted around splayed leaves. The oval body has a relief work decoration of children riding sheep with a spear in hand riding under a gate with putti faces and flowers. Busily styled with scrolls and flowers. The hinged lid houses an acorn finial in the middle. Engraved around with shells. c.1870 British made with a mark stamped underneath. This is sold with original plate with no wear.
