Antique Rectangular Silver Plated Sandwich Box

This is an antique silver plated sandwich box. Rectangular in shape. The top is finely engraved in the corners with scrolls. The centre is also engraved with scrolls with an oval cartouche that bears a crest or armorial. The underside is also engraved matching the front. Originally double hinged but changed to one. This has been resilvered. c.1870 British made.
