Antique Silver Plated Travelling Sandwich Box

A charming antique silver plated travelling sandwich box. The hinged lid opens enabling the front flap to drop down. It has a beautiful engine turned decoration to top, sides and underneath with a vacant cartouche to the lid. These were used to hold sandwiches when out hunting and were placed within a saddle bag. Perfect for a light snack when out and about. c.1890 British made.
