An attractive novelty champagne bucket or wine cooler in the form of a large porringer. Handsomely embossed with part fluting scrolls leaves, flowers. The two large side handles are scrolled with a bead decoration. On one side there is an engraved crest of a standing ram with the French words in a scroll Prend Moi Tel Qui Je Suis translated to Take Me As I Am. The other side has an elaborate initials. This is sold on original plate with virtually no wear. Wine is not included. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Elkington & Company stamped underneath.
