Handsome Antique Silver Plated Claret Jug on Wide Pedestal Base

A handsome antique silver plated claret jug. Standing on a wide pedestal base. The bulbous body is engraved with scrolls leaves and flowers around a vacant cartouche. Side looped handle. Hinged lid with cone finial. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Martin Hall & Company stamped underneath. This has been resilvered.

Height: 25 cm (10")

This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The claret jug has small ivory insulators on the handle. Exemption certificate submission reference: L7ZPB132
