This is a handsome antique silver plated claret jug. Standing on a circular pedestal base that is engraved with swags and leaves. Elegantly shaped in a traditional design with a round body tapering to a narrow neck. The body is engraved with diamonds with flowers in the middle. Similarly engraved side handle. Hinged lid with an acorn finial. This is sold on original plate with very little wear. c.1880 British made.
