A handsome antique silver plated and cut glass claret jug. The bulbous body of the glass is cut with squares and crosses. The neck is applied with pierced silver plate decorated profusely with grapes and vines. The looped handle is realistically modelled as a twig. The hinged lid has a grape leaf and vine decoration. This has been resilvered. c.1880 British made.
