Antique Silver Plated Cheese Dish with Frosted Glass Liner
An antique silver plated cheese dish. The base tray sits on four bun feet. Rectangular in shape with an embossed mount of scrolls and flowers. It retains its original frosted glass liner that is star cut in the middle. The cover is half dome shaped and is pierced and embossed to the sides with leaves and flowers around a vacant cartouche. The top is plain and engraved with swags. Curled handle. This is sold in original plate with virtually no wear. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton of Birmingham stamped underneath together with a registration number.
