A smart antique silver plated entree or vegetable dish. The base is bead mounted as is the lid and the removable key. The lid is engraved all over with ferns around a vacant cartouche with a ribbon and bow. Stamped underneath with a makers name for Dixon. c.1880 British made. This has been resilvered.
