Antique Silver Plated Butter Dish on Four Reeded Legs with Paw Feet
Antique silver plated butter dish standing on four reeded legs with paw feet. The oval shaped body is stylishly engraved with a band of leaves around. The vacant cartouche is surrounded with engraved leaves and flowers with a ribbon and bow on top. The rollover lid flips back to reveal an original pierced removable liner that holds the butter. Below which ice will keep the whole thing cold and help stop the butter from melting. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Mappin & Webb stamped underneath.
