An antique silver plated butter dish. Standing on four paw feet rising to a shell with two out stretched wings. The plain silver plated dome rolls over to reveal its original removable grill. Ice cubes are placed under the grill to help prevent the butter melting too quickly. c.1880 British made with a makers mark stamped underneath. This has been resilvered.
