This is an attractive novelty silver plated butter or preserve dish. This dish is in the shape of a heart. Standing on three curled feet, the heart shaped base tray is embossed around the edge with scrolls flowers and leaves. Top curved handle. The original cut glass dish is also heart shaped. It is cut with diamonds around the edge and with a star cut base. c.1910 British made with a makers symbol stamped underneath.
