Substantially Large Antique Silver Plated Meat Dome Cover and Base

A substantially large antique silver plated meat dome cover and base. The tree and well warming base holds hot water by unscrewing the cap. Standing on four large button feet. Gadroon mounted with smart handles either side decorated with acanthus leaves. The base has a makers mark for Robert’s Cadman & Co stamped underneath together with a retailers mark for Goldsmiths Alliance London. The cover is also gadroon mounted, plain with an elaborate handle decorated with grapes and vines. The cover is stamped with an electroplate mark inside. c.1880 British made. These have been resilvered.
