This is a novelty antique silver plated sugar scuttle. Modelled as a coal scuttle. This helmet scuttle is Gadroon mounted around the top edge. Standing on a circular pedestal base and engraved with scrolls & leaves. The original scoop slots to the back. c1920 British made with a makers mark for John Turton & Co stamped underneath. This is sold on original plate with little wear.
