Antique Old Sheffield Plate Monteith with Swirl Decoration to the Body

Antique Old Sheffield Plate monteith. Gadroon decorated base. Swirl decoration to the body. Faces mounted to rim. Was used to be filled with iced water to keep glasses cool. Can hold two bottles of champagne comfortably. Minor copper coming through on the inside raised parts. c.1840 British made.
