Antique Mappin Brothers Silver Plated and Glass Decanter Stand or Tantalus

This is a fabulous quality antique silver plated and glass decanter stand or tantalus. This has a nautical theme with three large conch shell feet. Three up tailed dolphins supporting three bead mounted circles with shells in between. Another upright dolphin with shells below supports the large oval bead mounted handle. The original glass bottles have a dimple effect diamond shape emulating water ripples. This has been resilvered. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Mappin Brothers stamped underneath.
