Handsome Elkington & Company Antique Silver Plated Teapot

A handsome antique silver plated teapot. Can shaped with a straight spout and flat flush hinge. Shaped engraved handle. The body is engraved with two bands to top and bottom of scrolls. Vacant oval cartouche in the middle of engraved flowers and leaves. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Elkington & Company stamped underneath. This has been resilvered.

This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The teapot has small ivory insulators on the handle and an ivory finial. Exemption certificate submission reference: CF1Q2NMF
