Handsome Antique Silver Plated Bulbous Tea Set

A handsome antique silver plated tea set. Standing on a pedestal base that is embossed with flowers and leaves. The bulbous body is heavily embossed with scrolls leaves and flowers around a vacant cartouche. Long shaped handles. Smart finial. This set consists of a teapot cream jug and sugar bowl. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Mackay & Chisholm stamped underneath. This has been resilvered.

This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The teapot has small ivory insulators on the handle. Exemption certificate submission reference: ATC5GL6Q.
