Handsome Antique Silver Plated Three Piece Tea Set

A handsome antique silver plated three piece tea set. Comprising of a teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. Known as can shaped with a flush hinge and straight spout. Crisply engraved with two bands of scrolls. Central oval vacant cartouche with scrolls and flowers either side. A ribbon and bow is engraved above. The square shaped handle is also engraved throughout. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Elkington & Company stamped under the teapot. This has been resilvered.

This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The teapot has small ivory insulators on the handle and an ivory finial. Exemption certificate submission reference: WJ1EW8PT
