Handsome Martin Hall & Company Antique Silver Plated Tea Kettle on Stand
A handsome antique silver plated tea kettle on stand. The stand is supported by four shell feet with dolphin heads above. The elaborate skirt has applied swags of flowers and leaves. Retains its original burner. The bulbous body is panelled and embossed with flowers leaves and scrolls. Fixed upright handle. The lid is engraved in panels with a proud eagle finial on top. Two chains with attached pins hold the teapot in place. This has been resilvered. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Martin Hall & Company of Sheffield stamped underneath.
This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The teapot has small ivory insulators on the handle. Exemption certificate submission reference: LZ7LHWBH
