Antique Silver Plated Toast Rack by Charles Edward Nixon of Sheffield
This is an antique silver plated toast rack. There are seven plain rectangular bars with a simple rectangular handle on top. The tray is ornately embossed around with scrolls and flowers and with shells on the corners. This toast rack sits on four removable bun feet that detaches the toast from the tray for ease of cleaning. c.1880 British made with a diamond kite registration mark stamped underneath together with a makers mark for Charles Edward Nixon of Sheffield. This has been resilvered.
