A fabulous Old Sheffield Plate tray. c.1840 British made with a makers figural mark for Creswick & Company stamped underneath. Rectangular in shape with rounded corners. This tray is boldly gadroon mounted with flowers and acanthus leaves on the corners with shells and acanthus leaves on the sides. Ornate handles with scrolls and acanthus leaves. Plain tray with a large engraved armorial or crest in the middle of a shield with a lion above a scroll with ATTENDEZ VOUS. Above the shield is scrolls of feathers. This has been resilvered.
