This is an antique silver plated champagne or decanter coaster. Plain band to base with straight sides. The body is pierced and embossed with swags to lions heads. The top is flared and mounted with scrolls and flowers. The base is turned wood with a silver plated disc in the middle. This is sold in original plate with slight copper showing on the raised parts. c.1880 British made.
