This is an ornate antique silver plated wine bottle coaster or planter. This holds three bottles of wine comfortably. Pierced cylindrical body decorated with swags to lions heads roundels. Flared top that is mounted with scrolls leaves and berries. c.1880 British made. This has been resilvered.
