Smart Elkington Antique Silver Plated and Cut Glass Biscuit Box

This is a smart antique silver plated and cut glass biscuit box or barrel. The silver plated tray has four elaborately decorated triangular shaped feet. Bead mounted around. The glass biscuit box is finely cut with arches with a feather-like cut. Stars above. Star cut to base. The silver plated mount has a hinged lid and an acorn finial. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Elkington & Company stamped underneath. This is sold in original plate with little wear.
