Charming Antique Silver Plated Basket Weave Design Egg Cruet

A charming antique silver plated egg cruet. Mounted below and top with a rope twist decoration with a plaited double rope twist handle. The body is of a realistic basket weave design, the swing handle has a button on top engraved with a crest of a torso and head of a dog. Centrally within are four prongs to hold the removable egg cups and a petal design in the middle to slot the spoons in. Each egg cup is mounted with a rope twist design and has stepped sides. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Elkington & Company stamped underneath. This has been polished and sold in original plate with virtually no wear.
