Large handsome antique silver plated lidded tankard or flagon. Heavily embossed with a teardrop decoration amongst a scrolling diamond pattern. The spout is formed as a head of Bacchus. Vacant cartouche. The lid has the same embossing as the body. c.1880 British made. Stamped with a makers mark for Martin Hall & company underneath.
Height: 21 cm (8.25")
This has been registered with Government UK as made before 3rd March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. Exemption certificate submission reference 7XH7YPB2.
