Large Antique Silver Plated Tea Kettle on Stand
An antique silver plated tea kettle on stand. The stand sits on three shell feet with dolphins on top. Bead mounted to base with a pierced surround. Two chains with pins attached that retain the teapot to the base and housing it’s original burner. The large teapot with fixed handle has a geometric engraved design throughout. Proud cone finial. This has been resilvered. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Frederik Ellis Tim & Co of Sheffield stamped underneath.
Height: 43cm (17") tall.
This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The kettle has small ivory insulators on the handle. Exemption certificate submission reference: 78LY27NB.
