This is an antique Old Sheffield Plate meat dome cover. Oval in shape with a simple band to the base. Applied with vertical ridges. Queen Ann part fluted decoration. The finial is of a figural lion and is solid silver with Georgian hallmarks to the side. Probably an armorial or crest. c.1800 British made. This is sold on original condition with very little wear.
